William Grumitt

William Grumitt, BA (Hons) BSc MRICS is a Chartered Surveyor and one of the founding members of Amber Living.

William completed his BSc in Building Surveying at London South Bank University – driven by his curiosity about how a building is built, and his desire to become an expert on the subject.

After graduating, William worked for The Greater London Council, London Borough of Southwark and Hyde Housing Association, in roles which covered the maintenance and property management of the housing stock.

In 1998, William moved into private practice, working first for Allied Surveyors and then Lambor Associates before going on to found Amber Living and Grumitt Wade with John Wade and Mark Mason in 2003.

William’s experience encompasses a wide range of services, including

In his spare time, William is usually busy with his family – he has a wife and 6 children. He is also a qualified yoga teacher, is the only member of the team to have a BA (in Economic & Social History) and a BSc, has a PGCE in History, and is currently learning to speak Italian.
